Get You Camping Gear In Order

Posted by Filed Under Wood Camping Stove with No Comments

One of the most popular family events for summer is camping trips, and have a safe and fun holiday or vacation is important to have the right camping gear. Since there are so many different types of camping gear on the market today, for those just getting started can be a bit overwhelming.

While there are many Add-ons and special items, there are some principles in camping gear that are a must and simply cannot be ignored or missed, or you won’t get the trip you are looking forward to. The camping basics include:

Tent-probably the most essential in camping gear, tents now come in a variety of styles, fabrics, colors and frames. The most basic is a tent “pup tent” or traditional tent inverted v-shape that is generally a two-person tent. There are larger versions of the pup tent that the roof achieved, but are much higher for adults and children walking inside with relative comfort. Hexagonal tents also offer more overall space, an important consideration if you’re camping with kids or large groups of people. When purchasing a tent considers the number of people you’ll be housing and the amount of covered storage space you may require. Consider also the weight of the tent if you have to pack it in their camp, as well as easy or difficult it is to put up and take down.

Sleeping bags-there is a wonderful variety of lightweight, ultra hot and very durable sleeping bags available at most camping stores. Sleeping bags come in a variety of sizes, extra long sizes of children. Sleeping bags, tents have for meals on site camping, then should be a lightweight, easy-to-care-for.

First aid Kit-absolutely essential when you go to the woods or to the Lake, a first aid kit should be a must for any hiker and camper. Most pharmacies, camping supply stores and sporting goods stores selling first aid kits with highly compact that are reasonably priced. Make sure that the first aid kit contains antibacterial cream, disinfectants, ligatures of different sizes, gauze, pain medication, tweezers, scissors and a wrap of tensor. Some creams or lotions to prevent sunburn and insect bites are also a great idea.

Cooking surface-don’t count on a fire will always be possible, depending on where you’re camping, fire regulations and restrictions or wet weather. A small and portable propane stove or charcoal grill can be a lifesaver to heat food and water.

Food-it is important to bring food more than you think you will require, as a security precaution if the trip lasts a bit longer than originally planned. Freeze-dried foods and pre-packaged exist that are easy to carry and ideal in case of emergency.

Remember that many garage sales and swap meets will have used camping gear, a great way to get a lot of new and exclusive material of camping in a fraction of its cost as new items.

Create a Camping checklist

Posted by Filed Under Wood Camping Stove with No Comments

This article is for you outdoorsmen who like to spend a week or two out in the Woods every year. How many times have you been camping only to discover that you forgot something really important? You realize that he’s sitting right where you left at home. What you need is a camping checklist that you can select how to load all your equipment for the car.

You have been told in the past that you should make a list, but you procrastinated because he was never a problem big enough. But, eventually, you’ll forget something really important, such as clean clothes that will force you to get better organized for the next time you go camping.

I put a sample checklist so that you can print. Better yet, why don’t you copy and paste this into your own Word document, so you can add to the list before you print. I keep all my stuff grouped depending on what they are used. I keep all my kitchen utensils into a large plastic container. Keep my tent and all related arts sleeping together in another. When we load the car, it’s just a matter of loading approximately five separate containers and just a few things loose.

Camping Essentials:

* Container with the wood package, newspapers and lighter
* Container filled with cooking utensils, including a cast-iron frying pan, cutlery, plates, glasses, plastics, aluminum foil, spatulas, tenacious, paper towels, soap, cleaners and other cooking equipment
* Propane stove and propane tanks reserve 2
* Duffle Bag full of clothes for the duration of the journey, as well as a shaving kit and all sources for bathing and showering. I also include flip-flops for public showers.
* Tent container includes tent tarpaulin under tent, cuttings, mallet, air mattress, batteries, pump, bedroll, sleeping bags and pillows.
* Cooler includes eggs, butter and any other food that we have that need to be refrigerated. We also fill it with plenty of beer and other beverages. We rarely have a lot of meat because it can make a mess of refrigerator and usually is so easy to buy stuff locally wherever we are camping at.
* Fun container includes games, Frisbee, soccer, baseball gloves, decks of cards, poker chips, or anything else that we take for recreation.
* Fishing gear is self-explanatory.
* Goodie Bag container has all snacks, junk food and cookies that we are always with us.

That is my small list of what we’ve always leads to camping. Having everything divided into categories makes it easier to account for things. Depending on where you are going camping, you may decide to leave a container from home. For example, if you were staying in a cottage or cabin could leave the container tent at home and only bring sleeping bags and pillows. If you are staying with relatives, you may not need the container full of kitchen utensils. I hope this list helps you get organized.
